India
to Aotearoa.

Spices, single-origin coffee and Indian pantry — sourced from named growers, imported to New Zealand.

What we bring to Aotearoa

Three things,
sourced right.

From named growers in India. No middle layers. Nothing generic.

Kashmiri valleys · Malabar Coast

Spices & Chillies

Whole and ground spices from named-region growers. Kashmiri chillies, Malabar peppercorns, single-estate cardamom, heirloom turmeric. Nothing blended, nothing anonymous.

Direct from growers

Coorg · Chikmagalur · Nilgiris

Coffee & Tea

Single-origin Indian coffee from shade-grown estates in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Masala chai blends and whole-leaf teas from the Nilgiri highlands. Roasted to order.

Estate single-origin

The Origin
“The best Indian flavour in Aotearoa starts before it reaches the kitchen.”

South Sip is a small Auckland trading house built on a simple idea: the ingredients matter as much as the technique. We import spices, coffee and pantry staples directly from named growers in India — not through middlemen, not from generic suppliers.

We source fresh produce from New Zealand farms and pair them with the right spices. Most people meet us through Chilli Club — our made-to-order kitchen in Auckland. But the kitchen is only possible because of the pantry.
